Trailer Towing

COURSE UNIT

  • AURTGA001 Drive and manoeuvre trailers
 

Who is this for: Those who need to tow a trailer as part of their job. Towing vehicles may include caravans, camper trailers, boats, horse floats, drilling rigs or earthmoving machinery.

Cost: $325.00 per person (GST Free)

Duration: 4 hours

Location: Keysbrook, Coogee, or contact us if you would like to discuss on-site training (minimum of 4 participants).

Rigid Vehicle (Truck) Training

COURSE UNITS

The Unit of Competency attained will depend on the class of license held by the participant.

  • TLIC2002 Drive light rigid vehicle
  • TLIC3003 Drive medium rigid vehicle
  • TLIC3004 Drive heavy rigid vehicle

 

Who is this for: Those seeking skills and knowledge to drive a rigid vehicle safely, including efficient control of all vehicle functions, monitoring traffic and road conditions, managing vehicle performance and dealing with hazards on the road.

Cost: $500.00 per person (GST Free)
 
Duration: 1 Day
 
Location: On-site. Saltire Training Group does not have rigid vehicles in our fleet. Instead, we will come to you, and you can complete the course in your company supplied vehicle.
 

Quad Bike & Side by Side Training

COURSE UNITS
Participants can choose to complete the units individually or in combination, depending on their requirements.

  • AHCMOM216 Operate side by side utility vehicles
  • AHCMOM217 Operate quad bikes

 

Who is this for: Those seeking the skills and knowledge to safely operate a side-by-side vehicle or quad bike, including undertaking pre-start checks and the shut-down process.

Cost: $450.00 per person (GST Free) for one unit, or $550.00 per person (GST Free) for both.

Duration: 4 hours for one unit, or one day for both.

Emergency Services Training

COURSE UNITS

Participants can choose to do the units individually or combine them depending on their requirements.

  • PUAVEH001 Drive vehicles under operational conditions
  • TLIC0023 Operate a four wheel drive vehicle

 

Who is this for: Public safety personnel who are required to operate vehicles both on and off road during public safety operations. This includes fire brigade volunteers, ambulance drivers and emergency personnel who are required to operate a vehicle during an emergency situation.

Cost: Please contact us for a customised quote. This course can be run mid-week or on weekends to suit volunteers’ availability.
 
Duration: 1 day for a single unit or 2 days when combined.
