Saltire Training Group offers first aid training and assessment on behalf of ABC First Aid (RTO 3399). This course is suitable for workplace first aid training and individuals looking for a comprehensive first aid qualification.
COURSE UNITS:
Students will be assessed with a mix of written and practical assessments to determine competency.
The standard Provide First Aid course is a face-to-face session of minimum six hours training. Assessors will train students in the skills and knowledge required for practical and written assessments that will be performed on the day.
This course is appropriate for students who require practice before taking the first aid assessments.
Express courses are available for experienced students.
The face-to-face session will focus on practical assessments and generally does not include preparation for assessment. Express face-to-face sessions have the same maximum class size as standard Provide First Aid Training. Students in express training are expected to have completed first aid training in the past, and regularly complete workplace training or occupy a first aid related role that includes use of hands-on skills.
If you require additional training to complete assessment, your trainer or assessor may charge an additional fee to provide it or recommend you complete standard Provide First Aid training.
Yes, Provide First Aid training includes Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training.
It’s recommended that Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training is refreshed every 12 months and Provide First Aid is completed every three years. This is in line with the Safe Work Australia First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice.
In an emergency situation, you should render assistance while adhering to the scope of your training. If you’re not trained in first aid, then you can always call Triple Zero (000) and they will guide you through what steps to take.
